This series has been inspired by the ancient Japanese technique Shou Sugi Ban where the wood surface is burned to make it pest, rot, UV and fire resistant. We have taken the technique a little further and burned the surface to create a beautiful solid black color. 

We have used solid slabs of Monkey Pod, a beautiful hardwood, to create these tables and office furniture. No doubt that these pieces of furniture can last for generations!
