This bench has been created from a very thick solid slab of Monkey Pod. The black color has been created inspired from the ancient Japanese technique Shou Sugi Ban where the wood surface is burned to make it pest, rot, UV and fire resistant. We have taken the technique a little further and burned the surface to create a beautiful solid black color.
